Tell Your Story

In Milton Keynes? Has something spooky, paranormal or unexplained happened to you? I want to hear about it.

Hi, and thank you for stopping by! I’m Steph – a writer, photographer and parapsychologist with a deep fascination for the strange and spooky stories people tell. Since April 2025, I’ve been on a mission to uncover and map all the eerie, uncanny, and unexplained happenings across Milton Keynes. Some say the city is too new to be haunted, too ordinary for ghost stories – I’d like to prove them wrong.

And to do that, I need your help.

If you’ve ever experienced something strange in MK – on a Redway, in your home, at work, anywhere at all – I’d love for you to share it.

How to take part – choose whichever works best for you!

  2. Email me at steph@cityofsecrets.blog

  4. Send me a voicemail

I’ll be visiting every grid square: exploring, taking photos, and telling the stories of the people who live here. I’d be honoured to include yours as part of this growing paranormal picture of the city.

Thank you! I can’t wait to see what you have to share.

  1. Hiya thought I’d share my experience with you after reading your appeal in the phone box magazine

Okay – nice sunny day and we had to get insurance on out camper van
We drove to the insurance office at the end of queens way in Bletchley/fenny stratford end
Hubby went in and I sat in van waiting for him. Opposite the rank of shops is an old school – beautiful buildings. I was admiring them when I noticed an apparition. Between the two buildings is a path and on the path was an almost transparent/jelly like figure of a lady in a long black dress with what looked like a black bonnet with a white cap underneath. She glided (floated) across the path between the two buildings in a slow manner. I blinked and shook my head thinking it was my eye sight but she was still moving across even after I’d done this.
When my husband returned he said are you ok you look like you’ve seen a ghost. I said I think I have!!

    1. Hiya Pauline – wow!! What a compelling story – and you told it so clearly, the hairs on the back of my neck are standing up. I know the place you mean, and they are lovely old buildings. I’ll certainly add that to my archive, thank you so much for taking the time to share it!

Do you mind if I ask you a couple of follow-up questions? Do you remember when this was, roughly? And how did you feel afterwards? I hope you weren’t too shaken – that’s the last thing you expect when you’re out running an errand!

Thanks again for taking the time to find me – I really appreciate it!
